PIctures coming soon

MAN! I am out of the habit of blogging! I THINK about it and even write it in my head but since my computer isn't on all day anymore, while I AM getting more work done, I am SERIOUSLY delinquent in my blogging!!!

I also doesn't help that my camera is still on the fritz. I used to be able to just take a quick picture and throw it in. Now that quick picture takes a lot more time (and patience) than I have been willing to spend. I will be taking a LOT of pictures this weekend however. I will be house sitting for a friend who has a BEAUTIFUL garden out in the back and I figure - what better place to take pictures of my baby hats? Pumpkins, apples, strawberries and bunnies all belong in the garden, the light is good - they should be decent enough pics to share with you all.
Of course, these will be the second round of hats. The first round I sold out of at my first show - who knew they would go so fast! The show, over all, went really well and I couldn't have asked for more. Given my late start, and my good sales, I had to back out of one of my planned shows but will be ready (and more prepared) for the next one in November.

The cooler weather has been a blessing. It has allowed me to get some much needed sleep. I took some time and organized my work space and am getting a lot more done now that I don't have to move everything around to change projects. Next on my list is glasses so that I can see what I am doing. The fabulous light that I am getting has unfortunately proven my inability to see is indeed my ageing eyes and not poor lighting like I had hoped.

If you are here in San Diego, enjoy the REAL autumn weather! If you are elsewhere, know that while I am COMPLETELY jealous of the snow you are getting, for your sake, I will be wishing you warmth and safe driving!

First Fall Craft Show

The Fall craft season is now upon us and for the first time since I have been doing them, the weather is completely appropriate. Being raised in New England, I miss the cooler weather, foliage changes and the rain. While San Diego has no deciduous trees to change color, the temperature has been lovely and we even got rain last night (completely out of season). I slept with unfounded depth last night (once I explained to The Boys what was making the noise outside).

I have been working like crazy on product for my show and while I am slightly concerned I may not have enough product, I am quite sure that I will show well with some of the cute things I am putting out ( if I do say so myself!). While my camera is still fighting with me, I took this one on my cell phone. I also have made pumpkin, bunny and apple hats as well as just some cute "hat shaped" hats as well.

As well as baby hats, I will also have crocheted hair clips, tote bags, cloth gift bags, cloth grocery bags, book thongs (book marks on bead elastic with beads on the end - these are much better than putting paper in the book and prettier too!) baby booties, monster slippers, and of course, my DPN holders.

If you would like to swing by and see me and some of the best crafter booths (in my opinion), it is held by the Bonita Optimist Club on Saturday, October 17 from 9am-3pm. I have a booth outside in the front. The address is: Rohr Manor, 4548 Sweetwater Road, Bonita, CA. Yes, I know for some of you this is a drive, but it is honestly worth it. This is one of my favorite shows from a shopping perspective. The proceeds also go to a great cause - I recommend checking the club's website and clicking on the 'What we do' tab on the left.

By the way, as a gift for hanging in there and still reading, mention this posting and I will give you $2 off any one item. I hope to see you there!

After an extended hiatus I am finally back in the saddle and getting work done again. I don't know what I missed most, getting product made or connecting with all of my online friends!

Well, I am back and with a vengeance and knitting and sewing up a storm and can't wait to show you what I am up to!! Unfortunately during the break, my camera decided to not cooperate with me any more (I am sure it had nothing to do with the numerous times I dropped it!!) and so I have a bit of an impediment in this department. I do expect this to be remedied soon so bare with me.

Also, my Etsy store is open again. Have you started Christmas shopping yet?? (Please no hate mail for this reminder!!) I will have new items up EVERYDAY for the new month or so so keep an eye out. You can see the most recent 4 to the right. To help get your shopping started, for the month of October, my prices are lowered and there is NO shipping.

Off to work - I can't wait to show you more!!
